About

Two sisters, one machine, one piece at a time.

Stars in the Sky is a small sewing workshop in Lexington, Kentucky, run by Evelyn and Mia. Everything sold here is cut, sewn and finished by them.

The work

Nothing is batched, so nothing is rushed.

Orders are made after they're placed rather than pulled off a shelf, which is slower and entirely deliberate. It means the fabric can be chosen for you, and it means every seam gets looked at before it goes out.

The pieces are meant to be used — washed, refilled, carried about, chewed on if you're small enough. They're built accordingly.

“Handcrafted with passion and love.”
